To provide both theoretical and practical knowledge from different subfields of psychology; to acquire the theoretical and practical knowledge of psychology in relation to theoretical and practical knowledge, and to educate professionals who will consider the implications of this in practice. The Ph.D. Program in Psychology has identified basic missions as an understanding of the interactions between psychology and disciplines that are known to be associated with such knowledge, as well as being able to assess the authenticity of scientific and current knowledge specific to the field of psychology. For this purpose, it helps individuals to acquire interdisciplinary and application-oriented information about the causes and outcomes of the transformations they live in.

History, the common memory of humanity, has the function of enhancing the possibility of understanding today through the knowledge of the past events and developing predictions for the future while keeping communication between past and present alive. Due to this fact, the History Department aims to raise historians who are eager to reach objective knowledge of the past before anything else. The main purpose of the program is to educate individuals who can comprehend, explain, analyze and synthesize their own past and world history in terms of different dimensions and objective view.

It is a young department, founded in 2008, but in that short time we have built a reputation as one of Turkey’s leading philosophy departments, with a record both for producing high quality research for international journals and publishers and for providing world-class education to our students.

The department’s goal is to give its students a better understanding of the world and its history and to foster critical thinking and writing by exploring textual and visual materials. Our lectures are supplemented with field trips, screenings of films and distinguished guest lecturers from Turkey and abroad. Through a diversified approach to understanding the past, we encourage our students to undertake historical studies in a dynamic and vibrant way. History majors can seek careers in a variety of areas such as government, business, the cultural sector, publishing, broadcasting, and journalism or continue their studies at the graduate level to become scholars.

In this age of global exchange, our undergraduate program promotes a study of literature that expands cultural connections among societies and bridges disciplines.

The Department of Archaeology and History of Art offers a multi-disciplinary approach to the study of archaeology, the history of art and visual culture, cultural heritage management, and museum studies by employing the most recent theoretical and methodological approaches and a hands-on approach to learning.

This program aims at providing students with a basic insight into English language and literature and critical thinking abilities by means of professionally designed curriculum.

English Language and Literature is a department that conducts significant research both nationally and internationally. We accept successful students at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and our graduates contribute to the arts and humanities worldwide. 

Department of History students as a result of four-year degree programs and culture for various periods in history have the knowledge and gain experience in research methods. Our students are equipped with modern 10 - 15 people are exceeding the chance to study in class.

The program includes language courses that form the basis of the culture and literature education for the first two years and general literature courses such as Mythology and Criticism Theories. In addition to these courses, elective courses outside the field that students can choose according to their interests are also included in our curriculum. In the last two years, there are courses that cover the history, socio-cultural characteristics, and literature of a multicultural American society consisting of different ethnic groups, and translation and elective courses for professional specialization.
