Marmara Educational Institution was established in 1991 with the motto of "From Kindergarten to University" by Hüseyin Şimşek, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of our University, İstanbul Marmara Education Foundation (İMEV) was founded in 1996, and Maltepe University in 1997. Maltepe University, which was founded according to Law 4282 dated July 9, 1997, and is a public legal entity subject to the provisions of Law 2547 and regulations regarding foundations and higher education institutions, started teaching activity by taking students from additional quota in the Academic Year 1997-1998.

İMEV, to which Maltepe University is affiliated, continues its foundation tradition in a broad sense by providing comprehensive services especially in the area of education, health, environment, culture, art, and social fields.

Hosting about 500 events every year, Marmara Education Village offers a vivid university life with its facilities for education, training, research, and social activities.

Marmara Education Village, which is located on a 1000-decare land among the pine forests, hosts around 500 activities every year with its facilities designed for education, research, and social activities and offers its students a vibrant university life at world standards.

Accommodating faculties, vocational schools, and institutes all in one place, the campus is a huge educational complex that includes 188 classrooms with a capacity of 8324 students, 27 laboratories, 41 workshops, 13 sports facilities designed for different sports branches, open-air amphitheaters with 8 thousand seat capacity, 4 thousand square meters of film and television plateaus, 7 conference halls, a hotel, and a library.

The campus also includes areas such as dormitories, dining halls, restaurants, cafeterias, laundry, Health Center, hairdressers, Blueprint, ATMs, markets, exhibition areas, museums and dance, fitness, gymnasiums, walking paths where students can meet their basic and social needs.

You can easily travel to our campus, which is located in Maltepe, in the Asian Side of Istanbul, by taking IETT buses that depart from different points of the city and arrive at Marmara Education Village Stop. For in-campus transportation, you can take the rings.

Maltepe University dormitory, each of which consists of three floors, has two apartments on each floor, two rooms side by side with its own bathroom in the middle section. The apartments; in four rooms with their own bathroom, shared kitchen section is located. One or at most two students can stay in the rooms.

In our rooms covered with wet floors; There is a bed, wardrobe, shelves, bookcase, coat rack, desk, and work chair for each student. All rooms have a refrigerator and unlimited wireless internet connection.

Common Area Features

The apartments (each flat consists of 4 rooms A-B-C-D) have a table and chair set and kitchen unit for common use. The common areas are cleaned daily by a professional team. Bathrooms in the rooms are cleaned every two days.
